About Judge Deihl

Judge Deihl served 18 years as a Circuit Judge in the Seventh Judicial Circuit, holding roles such as Chief Judge, Presiding Judge, and Judicial Educator. With over 30 years of ADR experience, he completed advanced training at the National Judicial College and Northwestern University, resolving hundreds of cases using mediation techniques. Before his judicial career, he practiced law in downstate Illinois for 24 years and taught various legal and ethics courses as a college instructor for 35 years. He is a member of several professional associations, including the ABA, AJA, IJA, and ISBA's ADR Section.
